This Help information is
stored in the file AddSpecies.htm in the subdirectory - Program Files/DataPoint/Help.
This file can be copied to, and viewed or modified on the desktop
computer. If viewed on the PDA, it
may be easier to view some sections with word wrap (i.e.,
View>Fit-to-Screen) turned off.
The Species Add Screen is used
to add a species to the existing list on the Main Screen.
Only species that occur on the
master lookup file can be added to the list on the Main Screen. If a new species is encountered, it must
first be added to the master list via Species>New on the Main Screen. It will also be automatically added to
the list on the Main screen after it has been added to the master list.
To add a species to the Main
Screen:
1.
Enter the first
letter(s) of the species you are looking for.
2.
Tap the Search
button
3.
Select the species
by tapping on it. You can scroll down if the list extends beyond the bottom of
the window.
4.
Tap the Select
Button
You will be returned to the
Main screen and the species will have been added to the list.
You can not remove a species
from the list once it has been added, but species with zero values are
not saved to the exported file.
